FPLB has made significant headway since the August Committee Kick-Off meeting. The committees are excited about what has been accomplished thus far and are happy to share an update with you to ensure that you are aware of the progress to date, and can share in our enthusiasm as we move the FPLB organization forward.
Fund Development Committee – The development of fundraisers and applying for grants are the top priorities of the fund development committee. While FPLB has a significant amount of funds available, we need to raise an additional $50,000 by December 31, 2017. If you or anyone you know has grant writing experience, we have need of your expertise. Please contact the Chair of the Fund Development Committee, Robert Beaven (firstname.lastname@example.org). Stay tuned for details about upcoming fundraisers and how you can support. Additionally, the FPLB $10 on the 10th campaign is still up and running, and allows you to automate your giving to support every month. Thank you to those who have already begun to donate. Leadership Committee – Two new board members joined the FPLB Board in October. We are happy to welcome them to the team. The more hands we have, the more we can do! The committee continues to reach out to the community for others interested in helping to move the organization forward. If you would like to join the FPLB Board, you may contact a current Board Member, and we will contact you with further details and instructions.
Congregational Committee – Understanding that congregations and volunteers in our community are the heartbeat of FPLB, the congregational committee continues to cultivate and nurture relationships by keeping close communication with our network of Host and Support Congregations. Committee members have begun to make calls and visits to clergy and coordinators at our partner congregations and are happy to report that they are still on board and excited to be a part of the FPLB family. The committee is also working on recruiting additional Host and Support Congregations in an effort to further expand the network, and will be hosting a general meeting for coordinators in mid-November.
Communications Committee – The migration of the contact database has been completed and updates to the FPLB Website and Facebook Page are ongoing. The committee is small and needs your help.
