Host congregations provide overnight lodging and meals for up to 14 individuals (typically 3 to 4 families) for one week about every 3 months on a rotating schedule. The guests in the program stay at the host congregation during the evening and overnight. Each morning, they are transported to a day center, where they prepare for and carry out their daily activities – caring for young children, looking for jobs or training, or going to school or work.
Programs vary from community to community, reflecting local needs and resources. However, there are basic needs for all programs:
• Host Congregations
• Day Center Facilities
• Funding and Resources
